Cheating in Indian, or Popular divorce schemes for tourists

For most Europeans, India is a fairytale country with beautiful architecture and mysterious culture. But, going there as a tourist, you should throw off your rose-colored glasses and dispel the romantic haze of upcoming adventures. We must not forget that for Indians, a person with light skin is a potential prey with which you can have something to fuck. In order not to spoil the pleasure of your vacation in India, you should definitely get acquainted with the different types of deception that can lie in wait for you in a distant country.

1. Street massage
Do not be surprised if in India on the street you will be approached by local people and without any preliminaries to do a massage.Usually they start with the hands and end on the head, and most street masseurs are real professionals and know how to quickly deliver pleasure. However, do not delude yourself into thinking that this is a gift or a gesture of courtesy. After the massage, the Indian will demand payment, and in case of refusal, will swear from head to toe. So, if you are not ready to pay for imposed services, immediately push away Intrusive passers-by.
2. Public transport
Tourists in India always pay more. In cafes and restaurants, there are two types of menus: one for locals, and the second in English for visitors. Naturally, the prices in the tourist center are much higher. The same applies to travel. After asking the ticket price, be prepared that you will be announced the amount of 20-30 rupees more than in reality. So if you don’t want to be cheated, ask the locals for the real price and pay in the bus without change.
3. “Helpers” at the station
If an Indian approaches you at the train station and offers to help , politely refuse. The scheme is simple: a local resident will ask for your ticket to see the train number or track, and then surprised to note that your ticket is fake and offer to sell the real one. You can be sure that the one you buy with your hands will turn out to be a fake.
4. Cashing in
Many travel agents make good money on tourists, offering to cash out money from the card. For this service, they charge about 12 percent of the amount, assuring that you will pay even more for converting funds in an ATM. In fact, this is a deception. Most often, the Commission at an ATM does not exceed 100-150 rubles.
5. Travel arrangements
Travel agencies know how difficult things are in India with everything that concerns movement around the country. It is also not easy to find a good hotel on your own. Therefore, travel agents kindly offer all those who want to visit India, services for planning and organizing leisure activities. This usually includes intercity bus tickets, excursions, and hotel reservations. Of course, this is very convenient, but be prepared to pay for such a service in two, and sometimes three times more than it actually costs.
6. Beggars
Beggars in India at every turn. Moreover, they do not sit modestly on the sidelines with a sign, but openly accost tourists. Disabled people, women with babies, children and men of all ages are literally attacking passers-by, demanding to buy them food or give them money. Tourists in any case should not indulge those who ask. As soon as the other beggars see that you are giving someone from the local something, they will attack you in a crowd and it will be very difficult to get rid of them.
7. Photo
When you are in India, you will meet people who will ask you to take a picture of them or offer to take a picture with them. Often they dress up in the clothes of a sadhu or do something unusual. Don’t consider their offers a courtesy. They will definitely demand money for the photo.
8. Travel by taxi
Before you get into a taxi, carefully discuss your route with the driver, ask them to name the final fare and find out what is included in the price. In this country, taxi drivers charge extra for services such as loading Luggage, air conditioning, stops, and travel on toll roads.
9. Change
Getting change in India is something of a fantasy. Do not be surprised, but in this country no one has small money, or rather everyone pretends that they do not. In the store, on the bus, in a taxi, looking at your large bill, everyone will just shrug, secretly expecting that you will spit and leave without change. Therefore, if you want to save your money, make sure that you always have change money with you.
10. Assistants
When you arrive in India, be prepared to experience the atmosphere of courtesy. In this country, you will be forced to help at every step. Carry your bags at the station, show the way, take a short road – you are always welcome. But for their help, the Indians expect a material reward. However, they never talk about this in advance.
11. Hotel room
Hotel rooms in India always look better in the photo than they actually are. But this is not the worst news. The fact is that your pre-reserved room can easily be given to people who arrived earlier and paid on the spot. Therefore, going to India, it is better to immediately find a backup option.
12. Prices
In small stores in India, all products are often marked. However, this does not prevent sellers from voicing the price 10-20 rupees higher. Inattentive tourists are often led to this trick and pay.
13. Bottled water
Buying water from local merchants, you can’t be sure that it is purified, and not poured from a tap around the corner. In a country where there are problems with water, you should not be so careless. Before you drink something, make sure that the bottle is sealed and the lid matches the color. If you are in doubt, go to the store and buy a soda, they do not know how to fake it in India.
14. Frauds
Locals often ask tourists if they have ever been to India before. If visitors say no , this is a call to action. Those who first came to this country will definitely try to cheat or cheat. Often, when tourists ask to take them to a certain hotel, they are told that there is no such thing in the city and offered to take them to another. Naturally, the driver gets paid for each guest, and the hotel itself is much worse than the one you originally planned to stay in.
Without a doubt, India is considered one of the most beautiful and interesting countries in the world. However, there are so many contrasts in it, but it does not fit into my head.
